Professor Garba Ibrahim
Editor-in-Chief

He is Editor in Chief of Liwuram Journal for the Humanities. He is former Director of Directorate of Archives, Records Management and Training, University of Maiduguri. He specializes in Political and Administrative History, and was at various times appointed Provost, College of Education, Azare and was also made Honourable Commissioner of Higher Education in Bauchi State, North East of Nigeria. After serving as Hon. Commissioner, he was reappointed Provost, College of Education Azare. He was the Pioneer Provost Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education, Kangere and was Member of National Constitutional Reform Conference.

Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Bedu
Deputy Editor-in-Chief

He is Deputy Editor in Chief of Liwuram Journal for the Humanities. He is Associate Professor at Department of Languages and Linguistics, University of Maiduguri with varied professional background as Journalist, International Broadcaster and academic teaching and research. He is Programme Coordinator at Centre for Peace, Diplomatic and Development Studies. Dr. Bedu holds BA in Linguistics and MA in General Linguistics from University of Maiduguri, PhD in Western Languages and Literature with specialisation in English Linguistics and Literature) from Süleyman Demirel University Isparta, Türkiye. His areas of expertise include Media and Political Discourse Studies, Language Policy, Language in Education and Community Engagement. He authored and edited Books and have published over thirty articles in reputable national and international journals and contributed chapters in Books on wide range of topics in media discourse studies. Presently, Dr. Bedu doubles as Coordinator of Hausa Unit and Coordinator of Translation at University of Maiduguri. He is an alumnus of famous London School of Journalism and Member of Linguistic Association of Nigeria and Nigeria Union of Journalists.  

Dr. Garba Usman
Copy Editor

He is Copy Editor of Liwuram Journal of the Humanities. A lecturer at the Department of English and Literary Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Maiduguri. He holds NCE, BA ed. (English), MA English (language) and PhD in English (language) with specialisation in Syntax. For professional practice, Dr. Usman is a member of University of Maiduguri Bulletin Editorial Board. 

Dr. Halima Baba Shehu
Commercial  Editor

She is Commercial Editor of Liwuram Journal of the Humanities. She is Assistant Editor Maiduguri Journal of History and Strategic Studies. Dr. Shehu is senior lecturer at Department of History and Strategic Studies, University of Maiduguri. Her area of specialisation is Economic History and some of her academic research include: The History of Production Distribution and Trading of Grains in Some selected Grains Markets in Maiduguri c.1973-1985, The Socio-Cultural and Economic Impact of Grains Marketing and Consumption in Borno, Pharmaceutical Business in the Economic History of Maiduguri Metropolis, Borno State.

Abdulrahman Abubakar Wakta Esq
Secretary of Editorial Board

He is Secretary of Liwuram Journal of the Humanities. He is a legal practitioner with over 14 years post call experience in both legal practice and the University Administration. He is currently an Assistant Registrar with the University of Maiduguri and Member of several professional bodies among which include Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) and ANUPA. He has served as Secretary to several committees within the University among which include, Festschrift Committee, Screening Committee, Annual Report, Mock Accreditation Committee, Mentoring Committee. 

Dr. Jacob Shimrumun Ioraa
Editorial Member

He is Member of Editorial Board of Liwuram Journal of the Humanities. He is an Associate Professor of Theatre and Media Criticism and he is the current Head of Department of Theatre Arts, and Member of the Senate, University of Maiduguri. He is a Visiting Associate Professor with Department of English and Literary Studies at Borno State University. A prolific writer with over 40 publications in various national and international journals is also on the Editorial Board of  Maiduguri Journal of Arts and Design since 2019. He has vast experience in teaching, research and administration in university system. 

Professor Saleh Abdulfathi
Editorial Member

He is Member of Editorial Board of Liwuram Journal of the Humanities. He is a preeminent scholar of Arabic Literature with 21 years of teaching experience at the University level. His research expertise centres on Arabic literary works in West Africa, with a deep understanding of the region’s cultural nuances. As Chairman of the Seminar and Workshop Committee in the Department of Arabic Studies, he plays a pivotal role in shaping academic discourse and fostering collaborations.

Dr. Aliyu Salihu 
Editorial Member

He is Member of Editorial Board of Liwuram Journal of Humanities. He is currently a lecturer at the Department of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Maiduguri. He is an experienced facilitator and e-tutor Department of Islamic Studies at Centre for Distance Learning, University of Maiduguri. Dr. Salihu holds Diploma, BA, M.A. and PhD in Islamic Studies with specialisation in Islamic Jurisprudence. He has 11 years’ experience of teaching and research in the University with 25 publications.

Dr. Dahiru Yahya
Editorial Member

He is Member of Editorial Board of Liwuram Journal of the Humanities. He is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Arabic Studies, with nine years’ experience of teaching and research in the University. His area of interest is Arabic Morphology and Semantics. He is Member of Editorial Board, Allauh Journal of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Member of Editorial Board of Feschrift in Honour of Professor Mohammed Sani Abdulmuminu. He is Member of Nigerian Association of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Member of Nigerian Association of Arabic Language and Literary Studies, and International Association of Arabic Language. Dr. Yahaya has authored dozens of articles in Journals and contribution in books that focus on Arabic Literature and Islamic Studies.
